The Hummer is back and better than ever.
GMC has announced the first-ever All-Electric Supertruck, the Hummer EV. This fully-charged, fully-electric hummer can go from 0-60 in only three seconds. Nothing like this has ever been seen before in a truck. The Hummer EV has a 350-mile range, 1,000 HP and up to 11,500 pound feet of torque, this beast has three motors and all-wheel steering, which allows the Hummer EV to drive diagonally in a mode GMC is calling Crabwalk.
The Hummer EV comes with GM’s self-driving technology, Super Cruise, driver-assistance technology for hands-free driving and automatic lane changing on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads and growing.
Inside the Hummer EV, a 13.4-inch touchscreen dominates the dashboard. The driver’s gauge cluster is digital, as well, with a 12.3-inch screen. This technology is a huge leap forward over GM’s current infotainment system. The vehicle still has plenty of buttons, though, as functions such as climate control are separate from the screen.
