Presidents’ Day is a national holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February; Presidents’ Day in 2023 will occur on Monday, February 20th. In 1885 in recognition of Americas First President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day. Presidents’ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.
How to Celebrate Presidents’ Day
Check to see if your city is hosting a presidents day city parade and be sure to dress in red, white and blue. Another way to celebrate is barbequing at home or in your community. Visit a president monuments near you with your friends or family.
